--- the happiness of pursuit

"I want to make music that provokes thought and feeling," says Chris of his song writing.

On the upcoming debut album, Chris says it has been years in the making.  "It's about quality, not quantity
with me,  I'm not going to write a lot of songs.  I want to make songs that each have their own identity. I
want songs that deliver a pay off!"

Chris is the singer, songwriter, guitar slinger, and producer on the album, titled
The Happiness of Pursuit.
"The title of this album defines me.  I'm truly happiest when I'm trying to achieve something.  Whether it be
professionally, personally, or spiritually.  I've bitten off more than I can chew and put the cart before the
horse on this one.  I like the challenges it brings."

--- the journey

Chris was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.  "My family and I moved to California when I was 14.  It
was hard. All my friends and relatives were there."  Chris has been seriously playing the guitar since he was
17.  "I really got interested in writing music after high school.  I began writing immediately and it still
remains my passion to this day."

---
the sound

The music could be described as acoustic alternative rock.  "I grew up in the 80's.  I had a lot of different
types of music to listen to.  I guess I took from all of the different types of music and gave it my own flavor."

External as well as internal factors have a lot to do with the music one writes.  "I was a somewhat shy and
introverted kid.  It is reflected in my songwriting.  My lyrics are very much introspective.  My style; edgy.
My guitar; riffy and melodic."

--- the future

"I want to reach out to people with my music.  Music has healing capabilities.  If I can make a difference,
great.  Either way, I will keep writing because I know it will save me."
